Where do I even begin? We worked nearly two years to get Risk. Working closely with friends from Italy (DI MONTE TONICO ACD’s), we were finally able to make it happen. There are always pivotal moments as a preservation breeder that change the trajectory of your program. This boy was one of those moments. He is a complete package to us and we are incredibly thankful to own him.

He hit the show ring as soon as his US paperwork was completed. Seven months old and he owned the ring. Winning most times over AKC finished Champions. He was undefeated in classes until he finished his Championship. I owner/handled him to his Grand Championship and it was so incredibly fun. The judges loved him. The majority of his show photos below were when he was less than 8 months old. Highlights for Risk was when he went to Royal Canin in Orlando, FL. One of the largest dog shows in the entire world. He won Best In Show Puppy with Ramona Browning on his lead! He made cuts as a puppy at our National Specialty. Then he finished his International Puppy Championship/ National Championship. Lastly, he received his “AKC Puppy Of Achievement”. All before his first birthday!!!! Darn right, we are proud!!!!!! Some of the comments at the IABCA shows were, “Handsome, showy boy”, Well developed for age”, “Good reads and powerful thrust”, “Good working structure”, “Clean front quarters and good back quarters”, and “Correct Tail set & Carriage”.

The proof is in his progeny. Over and over again, he has produced Westminster qualifiers, Best In Specialty Show Winners, Award Of Merits, Cruft qualifiers, Champions and Grand Champions.

Risk isn’t just a treasure to us because of his accomplishments, he’s also a complete gentleman. He loves everyone, everything. Every day is a new adventure to him and he’s just along for the ride. Nothing that we ask of him is too much. We love him to pieces!!!
